Honorary President – Tom Sensier
Tom was initially hauled off the touchlines to help with his son’s team in 2007. He jointly managed the team taking them up to U12’s. He was also club secretary for 5 years before becoming Vice Chairman and then taking on the role as Chairman before moving to President and then Honorary President.
Tom comments … “Hassocks is a great friendly club where we try to foster all player’s ambitions and help create a sporting inclusive atmosphere where all are able to reach their football potential. It has been an honour to be associated with the club and I have seen great growth in the club during the last 10 years with player numbers more than doubling. Whilst we have achieved a lot there remains a great deal still to be done currently we have three main priorities; to increase the number of girls playing, to achieve greater integration with the other sections of the club and to improve facilities.
It could be argued that sporting clubs like ours are more important than ever in these times of X-Boxes and Play stations. Our ever increasing numbers reflect the importance of clubs like ours and we are determined to provide the very best environment for all our players
We are very lucky to have a really great group of dedicated coaches, committee members and helpers within the club without whom we would not exist thanks you all. Special thanks must go to Jonathan Pearce who has done a fine job in steering the club as Chairman and then Honorary President. Finally, we should all be grateful for the force within our club known as Nick Palmer since taking over as secretary his dedication, enthusiasm and self-sacrifice has been behind our recent success.
